Today's computers usually have only 10/100 Ethernet ports, while Macbooks Air, Ultrabooks, Subnotebooks, etc. no longer have any Ethernet ports. The existing USB 2.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapters are limited by the USB 2.0 standard to a maximum data transfer speed of 480 Mbps, while our DIGITUS Gigabit Ethernet USB 3.0 adapter reaches speeds of 1000 Mbps. Due to its low power consumption of 200 mA, the adapter can also be used with a Macbook Pro and Macbook Air without any problems.
